How to Choose Your Bikini Size

How to choose your bikini size — Melancia Swim

Bikini sizing trips people up the same way every time: tops and bottoms don't always match in size. A medium top with a large bottom is normal. So is the reverse. That's why separates exist.

Your top size is mostly about cup coverage. Triangle styles with adjustable ties are the most forgiving, because you can shift the knot to compensate either way. Between sizes, go up for more coverage, down for a snugger fit. Strapless styles don't give you that option, so those you want to measure more carefully.

For bottoms, use your hip measurement, not your waist. Brazilian cuts sit low, so your hips are what actually determines fit. Between sizes: up means more back coverage, down means a more minimal cut.

Our products show the measurement of the models, which is a useful reference point. If you're taller or carry more difference between hips and waist, go up.
